Dare Records was founded in 2007 by Grammy award winning producer Michael-Anthony Taylor. His vision is for the label to reflect his work as a multi-genre producer.  From smooth jazz to electronica, big band to urban/hip hop and from contemporary pop to heavy metal, Dare Records seeks to dare to be adventurous as illustrated in its signings which started with the bluegrass jazz band The Vignola Collective followed up by Manhattan Transfer’s Janis Siegal's trio JaLaLa. Dare Records continues to add to its roster while remaining firmly committed to making every release authentic to its given genre designation with recordings that are as superb sonically as they are supremely entertaining musically!  Dare Records, a division of VM Entertainment Group, is located in New York as well as Miami; “Dare Records, It’s Music…Not Widgets!”

The founders of Nashville's Dualtone Records (Scott Robinson and Dan Herrington) are happy with their modest game plan of hitting singles, doubles, and triples in the music industry and aren't in the business to swat home runs every day. Yet, they've seen more than just modest success. In a short period of time, Dualtone has built an extensive catalog of titles in an eclectic array of categories ranging from blues to country to pop. Artists include BR549, Robin Ella, The Greencards, and Radney Foster. "I think we're particularly proud of building a record label or musical entertainment company in a town mainly based on country or Christian music," says Robinson. "We fill a void."
