Label Description
This deluxe work of art by filmmaker, bookmaker, and award-winning photographer Mark Borthwick documents Chan Marshall of Cat Power at the height of her "You Are Free" period, when she was particularly interested in nature and the environment. There are three main elements here: 1) a DVD of Marshall performing solo outdoors, playing songs from her albums as well as several covers; 2) three short films by Borthwick, and a CD with one mind-blowing 20-minute unreleased song from the "Are You Free" sessions, entitled "Willie Dead Wilder"; and 3) a 40-page booklet with photography and writing by Borthwick, who has clearly found his muse through Marshall's music, personality, and beauty.
